This is for measuring out of the car although my picture shows it installed in the car.
The “rotor” has a small groove in the end for reading off from the degree scale. The base has a paper scale glued to it and then protective clear coat applied. This has the nice effect of making the paper transparent while leaving the markings.
The base has a cut out for a Pertronix module.
For the PDF print at 100%, US letter size.
Put a multimeter on one of the trigger point output wires and the other on ground. Slowly rotate the shaft of the distributor until the contact closes and note where it is on the gauge. Then continue to slowly rotate until the contact opens and measure the angle from closing to opening.
Download the PDF template, the base STL and the rotor STL.
